:boobie: I may actually have enough books in my TBR pile to make the whole month be non-romance. Yep, I will make that my own personal goal for the month, all non-romance.

  2. Ames July 31, 2006 at 10:45 pm #

:bdance: I have a book that’s been in my tbr for six years. I have never given up on this book. It’s time to shine has arrived! So yeah, I’m in.

  3. Erin the Innocent August 1, 2006 at 1:13 am #

I’m in :) I have a lot of non romance books in my stack too

  4. May August 1, 2006 at 7:29 am #

    I’m signing up.

Most of the books on my TBR aren’t romances, so it’s easy. Not like that historicals one. :hide:

Okay, I’ll bite. I have a paranormal book my husband bought me a couple of years ago that I’ve yet to read.

  8. Avaron August 1, 2006 at 10:44 am #

 I forgot July… but I got plenty of non-romance, non-fiction to read… all that ‘research’ to do. So count me in.

  9. Kelly August 1, 2006 at 11:06 am #

I have a couple of mysteries that will fall into this category so I’ll sign up…and hopefully get a few of those off my TBR pile.

  10. Kailana August 1, 2006 at 11:49 am #

    I’m in!

Do we think we could make September a two part choice? Because let me tell you, I don’t own a single category romance… I am probably alone on that, but I will ask anyways. :)

I’m in. Shame on me, I’m using this TBR challenge to motivate me to actually get started on lesson-planning for the new school year… because if I don’t sign up at Brianna’s Mommy, I might never actually read “When I Was Puerto Rican.”

  26. ag August 6, 2006 at 10:11 am #

Sorry, I’ve been incommunicado. But pls count me in. I’ve got several non-fics to make the challenge.

  27. Angie August 6, 2006 at 7:03 pm #

Kailana, I’m open to suggestions for an alternative if you have one in mind, since I know others don’t read category. We could do an either/or challenge next month, no problem :)

  28. blink August 6, 2006 at 7:51 pm #

I’d like to try again. I have so many Fantasy books in my pile. ^^

PS. Loved Working for the Devil.

  29. AngieZ August 6, 2006 at 8:20 pm #

    Count me in.

  30. Kailana August 6, 2006 at 9:35 pm #

um. I haven’t been doing these all along, so two suggestions are a non-fiction book or a book published in 2006. Or, another one, the book you keep putting to the side for another day. Something like that. :)

  31. Keishon August 7, 2006 at 11:53 pm #

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).
