That’s right, I’m holding a title contest. I’m going to be doing a dragon anthology in the fall of 2007 (submissions to be open next week, stay tuned for details) and naming this anthology has proved a challenge (I even made my husband brainstorm with me). So I’m turning to all of you for ideas.
To give you an idea of the direction you should go for titles, the only criteria for submission to the anthology are going to be that the book be a romance and that it somehow be connected to dragons–there may be dragons in it, it might be about dragon mythology, maybe someone is seeking a valuable dragon statue…my requirements aren’t specific for the purpose of getting a variety of genres, ideas, submissions.
What I need is a title for the print anthology because the individual books will already have titles, one would hope 
The requirements for the title? That it somehow speak to the idea of dragons between the covers of the book, even if it doesn’t outright say it, that it be catchy and not too long. Should be simple, right?

The number of syllables and meter reminds me of the title Ladyhawke, an old Michelle Pfeiffer movie that I like a lot (romantic fantasy, no less).
Plus, I think single word titles for multiple-author anthologies are some of the best (Secrets, Bite, Howl, etc.)

Well, the 25 limit is mostly so I don’t get 25 seperate comments from one person, or a bunch of lame titles just in an attempt to win the contest. It was my protection against the people who don’t seem to have self-limits when it comes to contests, lolol.
