I don’t know why, but I think it is simply wrong to call your Roomba Roarke.

But he brings me so much pleasure 😉

I HAVE to get me one of those. Sighhhhhhh

(I do mean the vacuum, of course, LOL)

If you call him Roarke then Shan will definitely want one.

    :evilha:

  5. Jaynie R June 12, 2007 at 7:49 AM #

OMG – I want one. They look awesome. How do they go on stairs?

  6. May June 12, 2007 at 7:52 AM #

Jaynie, I think the answer to that question is that They Don’t. LOL.

I can take you to Pearl Center to buy a cheapo version if you want. About 60SGD.

Oh May, my hubby is gonna hate you. He likes that I have no idea where to shop.

…and yes, um…I think we’ll go look at those. Maybe I could train the kids to take it up and down the stairs.

  8. Angie June 12, 2007 at 8:31 AM #

Yep, they don’t go on stairs. Actually, the have a sensor in them so they won’t fall down the stairs.

Jaynie, you don’t need to train the kids to take it up and down. You just need to buy two. One for the upstairs and one for the downstairs 😛 And don’t forget to buy a Scooba while you’re out (to wash the floors!)

I think Jaynie’s hubby is going to be really glad that you cannot do your damage in person, Angie.

I don’t plan to ever meet him, because after I help Jaynie bankrupt him, he might decide he has nothing to lose and just shoot me.

:laundry: I want one. Right now I spend more time chasing dust and things the boys drag in across my hardwood floors than i do on any other cleaning chore in the house.

I like Ronnie the Roomba. Or Ricky Ticky Roomba or…. :chair: okay, I’ll shut up.

  11. Jaynie R June 12, 2007 at 9:22 AM #

:thanks: a scooba – I have no idea what that is but obviously I need it. I’ll add all that to the yogurt maker May reckons I need and then find the credit card.

…now where did he put it? :giggle:

Did I hear somebody say Roarke? :laundry:

Okay, so…no wait. One more time… :laundry:

Quit playing with your Roomba and talk about the book(s) you had release today, dammit.

    :kissie:

Hmmm, I kinda want one of these. A friend has one and I watched it work its magic. Very cool. And I have a lot of bare floors – I sweep up enough cat hair to make a cat too! :boff:

  14. Ember June 12, 2007 at 8:23 PM #

I’d name him after my brother-in-law. He’s the biggest suck-up I know. :laundry:

  15. Larissa Ione June 19, 2007 at 11:16 AM #

OMG, I SO want one of these!!!!

  16. Shiloh June 19, 2007 at 12:44 PM #

    I want one.

Thanks a lot, May. Now I’m going to be dreaming about a roomba.

  17. May June 19, 2007 at 12:48 PM #

    You’re welcome, Shiloh. :boobie:

  18. Angie June 19, 2007 at 1:49 PM #

    Next up: Roomba bowling.

    No, I’m not kidding. :chair:

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).
