It might take me all day to type it, but I decided to try this. Mostly because I didn’t want yesterday’s post to stay at the top. Why? Don’t want to mislead anyone who thinks this blog is about controversy and blog hits *snort* regular readers will laugh at that. It’s about boring life stuff [...]

Utterly disgusted (take two)

Why take two? Well, see, last night I wrote this long rant and titled it “Utterly disgusted”. But after my brain had time to recover from its meltdown and my temper cooled a little, I decided not to post it. I thought about it, but reason reared its head. Which, funny enough, kind of relates [...]

My friend Erin tagged me for that seven random things meme. Normally, I ignore being tagged (even when directly told I’m tagged, sorry!) But it seemed like an easy blog post for today, and it’s been awhile since I did a TT, so here you go. Try not to fall asleep in the middle, lol. [...]

I went to the post office. Twice. No really. I got everything together last night, but didn’t have boxes to mail some contest prizes. So I put it all in an (overflowing) laundry basket and schlepped it to the post office this morning. Got there and somehow I’d forgotten the address for one of the [...]

Kensington Gets Print Rights to Erotic Ebooks As these things happen, the title is a little misleading because, dude, we’re a general publisher and the books we have up for consideration are not just erotic. But otherwise, there’s the official announcement. Just in case you thought we were making it up

I know they’re boring. Not quite as stimulating as the drama stuff and I sure don’t expect it to send my hit count through the roof But I saw this on one of the entertainment type TV shows this evening and I had to go looking for clips. I’m sure those of you in the [...]

I’m headed out of town to attend the Long Island RWA luncheon on Friday. I’m taking the train in and the lovely and talented Bianca D’arc is going to be my chauffeur for the next couple of days. I invited Joy of Joyfully Reviewed to attend with me so I’m sure I won’t be bored [...]

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).
