Happy birthday month from a fellow August b-day girl!

I have tons of socks from sock dreams. I love them but they seem to get holes in the toes very easily. Could just be something odd about me but it s a bit annoying.

WoW – a shop that just sells socks!! Yes, I live in a cave (U.K) and don’t you think that The Book should be signed?? LOl!

I hope you have a great birthday month, Angie. That memory foam lounge bag looks great. Now I want one!

  4. Christine d'Abo August 2, 2007 at 7:40 AM #

My b-day is this month as well. I’d kill for a trip to the spa, but I’d settle for being able to sleep in. 🙂

  5. Jaci Burton August 2, 2007 at 8:10 AM #

oh sure. leave nothing for me to get you (which, by the way, will NOT be #9 unless Nora and I suddenly become BFF :giggle:)

So Josh…don’t get her EVERYTHING on this list, k?

  6. you know who August 2, 2007 at 9:25 AM #

    I’d better start now…

Jaci, you can get her #10. Thanks!

  9. Joely August 2, 2007 at 9:38 AM #

Happy early birthday–I hope you get several things on your list!

  10. Michelle August 2, 2007 at 10:28 AM #

Happy Birthday month! :cheer: I’d like a lot of those things too, but mostly the maid I think. Or the massage. Or maybe… LOL

A friend of mine has her birthday this month and I’m sending her Jaci’s WWW and SDI – cause I figure when you’re turning 40 you’re already getting hot and you might as well get a bit naughty! :fire:

  11. Lesley Speller August 2, 2007 at 10:33 AM #

    Happy Birthday!

It’s so kind of you to make your husband a list. I have been known to tell my husband to get me anything just to watch him sweat! :fire: I don’t do it anymore though. I’ve gotten sweet in my old age. Now I have an online wish list I keep updated for him. It makes his life much easier.

    That sock site is awesome!

  12. Jennifer McKenzie August 2, 2007 at 10:53 AM #

Happy Birthday. Hope your hubby pays attention.

  13. Ciar Cullen August 2, 2007 at 11:06 AM #

:chicken: Yay! They say it’s your birthday, well it’s my birthday too yeah.

Have a great one, o great one!

  14. Rhonda Stapleton August 2, 2007 at 11:15 AM #

AWESOME…and when you’re done with Rachel Ray, send her my way! I’d love for her to whip up some food for me! hahaha

  15. Diana Castilleja August 2, 2007 at 11:49 AM #

Heh… I’d totally go for the maid, the spa and the book. That would make a wonderful b-day gift…

    Happy b-day! 🙂 :whoo:

  16. Tempest Knight August 2, 2007 at 12:32 PM #

I’m with you on the maid and the massage! *LOL*

  17. Elle Fredrix August 2, 2007 at 12:57 PM #

Hmm. Was this one of those lists where you really had to work hard to come up with 13 things, or was the difficulty in keeping it at 13? :o)

  18. Ann August 2, 2007 at 1:11 PM #

Have a great birthday, hope you get everything on your wish list (although I’d say you were the one with the picture taken with Nora…).
P.S. Sorry about the double linkies, had a brain fart.

  19. Kate Willoughby August 2, 2007 at 1:19 PM #

    Happy birthday!

    Happy Birthday!!

  21. Angie August 2, 2007 at 2:04 PM #

I had a terrible time coming up with 13 things, but they are actually things I want, once I brought them to mind, lol.

  22. Adelle Laudan August 2, 2007 at 2:40 PM #

You need a biker smiley lol
    Happy Birthday!
I hope you get everything on the list.
    Happy T13! :giggle:

Happy Birthday from another August-born. We rock, even if we have the ugliest birthstone.
And hey…if you get that In Death book early, can I read it after you?

  26. Lauren Dane August 2, 2007 at 3:07 PM #

I’m so with you on #9! Happy early birthday!

  27. Robin L. Rotham August 2, 2007 at 3:16 PM #

There are a lot of things on that list I’d like, but oh man, I’d KILL for a maid —

So here’s wishing you one very thorough maid for your birthday!

  28. Lanie August 2, 2007 at 3:32 PM #

That’s a great list. Most of them seem doable, even!

I’d say kick the hubby if he doesn’t at least get you 8 of those!

    Also, Happy early Birthday!

  29. Heather August 2, 2007 at 5:17 PM #

Happy early birthday! Here’s hoping the hints work and you get at least a few of the items on your list.

  30. Ember August 2, 2007 at 7:28 PM #

A totally reasonable list. It’s not like you asked for Roarke himself. :kissie:

    Happy Birthday (early) !

  31. Kissa Starling August 2, 2007 at 7:58 PM #

Knowing what you want is half of the battle. Finding the money is the other half. Happy Birthday and good luck on number 10!

  32. Angie August 2, 2007 at 8:20 PM #

A totally reasonable list. It’s not like you asked for Roarke himself.

oooh, only because I didn’t think of it!

  33. Debbie Mumford August 2, 2007 at 11:38 PM #

Oooo … if you get a maid, please tell me where I can sign up for one too!

  34. Mad August 3, 2007 at 2:03 PM #

    Happy birthday month! 🙂

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).
