Souvenir of the Day: 1 fan spray bottle. 1 Mickey t-shirt. 1 Mickey balloon ball. 1 Mickey keychain. 1 Cheshire cat coin purse that had a broken clasp five minutes after we bought it. Today, we bought some REAL souvenirs. Today was Magic Kingdom and we had a truly stellar day. No do-overs needed. We [...]

Souvenir of the Day: Ha. Vomit-covered clothes. Not mine, a small favor, but Brianna’s. We got up this morning and headed to Epcot. It wasn’t too crowded and we were able to take in a few rides/sites in Future World. The gates opened at 9am and we were headed back to the hotel by noon, [...]

Vacation: Day Two

Souvenir of the day: Sea World Poncho Hey guess what? It’s raining in Florida. You’re probably not shocked by that at all if you watch the weather and see them tracking the TROPICAL STORM. Bwahaha. But no worries. We got up and went to Sea World this morning anyway. Brianna and I both had raingear [...]

I actually have some quiet time so I thought I’d better take advantage of that and do at least one blog post for the week. We’ve made it safely to Florida, are checked into our hotel and are having “naptime” (I’d much rather have computer time than naptime, which is why you’re getting a blog [...]

I’ll do my best to post a few updates from the “road”. But I’ll see you in a week if not!

The Samhellion is the author-written newsletter. It’s not officially connected with Samhain but it’s written and edited by all Samhain authors. It launched today and I think you should all check it out. There are some fun articles, including TJ Michaels sharing a great recipe for homemade teriyaki sauce an absolutely fabulous free short story [...]

I just looked at my to-do list, which isn’t exactly written down, but I was making a mental note of things I need to finish before I leave for vacation. And I swear, I almost burst into tears when I realized just how much I need to get done. In two days. For work. In [...]

Today I went and had my eyebrows waxed in preparation for my vacation next week (because we’re going to a wedding next weekend while on vacation and nicely groomed eyebrows, as we all know, are a must when attending a wedding). My stylist, Jen, who does my waxing and cuts my hair has been begging [...]

I’m starting to think about what books I want to take on vacation. Ideally, I’ll take only my Ebookwise and one paperback book, which leaves out most of the ARCs I have left to read. Except Lady of Light and Shadows because the fabulous Erin at Dorchester sent me a pdf copy this week. Yay! [...]

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).
