Samhain Submissions Re-open

As of today I’ve re-opened submissions at Samhain. Please keep in mind that we have refocused our efforts and the accepted genres have changed.

Additionally, we’ve clarified and/or changed some of our submissions guidelines.

Hey Angela, I can’t find your email address. Could you please email me at rachelATrachelvincentDOTcom?

Thanks!

When I submitted a story before you closed to submissions, I could have sworn the site said 10-12 weeks for a reply but now says 12-16. Should I wait until 16 to send an inquiry about the submission?

Thanks!

Yes, just like any publisher, we reserve the right to change response times depending on work load and staffing, so it did change.

And yes, the end limit would be when you should start emailing :)

Hi Angela,

I was wondering what your policy is on re-submissions. If something was submitted for an anthology, but not selected, would Samhain consider looking at it again under open subs?

Thanks in advance!
