    Dear Santa…

I had no idea! Sure, I’ve got a Palm and a cell phone and a digital camera and an mp3 player.

    I don’t have a light saber!

Hmm…there’s no way he’ll dump Verizon, though. Must scheme…

I was waiting for the Star Trek tricorder. But this almost does the same stuff. Maybe I can upgrade it to do medical scans too.

lol, Maria. And without the “t”. Kinda different 😛

Yes, I did watch the video again this morning and laugh. But I see I’m not the only geek out there who thinks it’s funny, so I feel better now.

okay.. that settles it.  I want to have lightsaber battles.  I wonder if you can do that on the iTouch.  Then I only have to replace my current iPod.  hmmmmGreat video!!!

I wonder if that would work on my HTC Touch?  Where’d you get it (the app, not the phone LOL)?

  12. Angie July 15, 2008 at 10:56 AM #

I got it through the iTunes App store, which is, sadly, just for iPhones and the iTouch (yes, Kendra, the apps are supposed to work on the iTouch if you make sure you have the upgraded firmware on it)

My son was so not impressed when he whipped around, saw me waving my phone and making sounds, but without the light beaming out of the end.How much did he expect from a free app?  (What am I doing wrong with putting in smilies?  I can’t actually click on them – I have to right click, get the image loc, then insert it as an image into the comment? Is it a Me problem, or a Firefox problem?)

I have failed at smilies and insert images.

The smilies is a firefox thing, the coding is something wrong with my comments. I haven’t had time to look at it to try and fix it. I don’t know when I’ll actually have time, sadly 🙁

Last weekend I was in Vegas (eventually I’ll blog about it…after I get through all the book reviews I have to do for this weekend) and decided to stand in line for the iPhone.  Two hours later when the line HADN’T EVEN MOVED AN INCH I decided that I wasn’t spending my entire vacation in line and left.  I was finally able to order my phone at an AT&T store and it’s apparently on its way to me. You’d think I was buying a corvette based on the total lack of availability on the showroom floor!~sob~  Yes, I’m leaving Verizon.  AT&T better step up to the plate!I’ve already marked that little program down to get, along with about 15 others.  I’m called the gadget geek at work!  HEY!  I represent that!

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).
