My favorite of my covers is On the Edge, but my favorite not-mine Samhain covers are the covers for Beth Williamson’s Malloy family series. I’ve loved every single one of them and wished they were mine, dammit.

I am the most biased person IN THE WORLD, because my favorite cover is mine. 😀 Tuesday did such a good job on the “Cry Sanctuary” cover!I love, love, love the cover Anne Cain did for Linda Winfree’s “Memories of Us”, and the one she did for Frank Tuttle’s “Dead Man’s Rain.” And I like all of the Shadow Destroyer Series covers.I like a lot of covers. I could keep going for days. LOL

I love the “Things to Do” by Nell Dixon, that dog just cracks me up for some reason. But Lauren Dane’s “Fated” is an awesome cover. Love everything about that one.

4. Jaci Burton September 19, 2008 at 2:52 PM #

My favorite cover of all my books is RESCUE ME (hello? hot guy on the cover :giggle: ). Plus I think the overall look to the cover is just fun and sexy and captures the book perfectly.

My favorite Samhain covers? Oh there’s lots of them. I think Sharon Long’s Her Majesty My Love is just visually stunning. I love Beth Williamson’s and Lorelie James’s western/cowby covers. So sexy. And Patrice Michelle’s Anticipation makes me drool (I want that guy on that cover so bad :giggle: )

I also loved the I Dream of Dragons anthology covers and the Talons anthology covers.
I could go on, but I’ll stop now.
Did I win yet? :neener:

…. Does “almost anything by Anne Cain” count? ^_^I’d probably have to say my current fav would be the cover Anne did for All That Glitters by Aislinn Kerry, but I’m a bit biased since Aislinn’s been a friend of mine for over five years. 🙂

Hi:

I have to say, I find the cover art for so many of the Samhain publications to be so good, it’s difficult to choose. But here are just a few.

I like nearly all of the covers for Maya Banks’ books, particularly Brazen – it was so well done.

I was also very attracted to ‘Unbreakable’, by Sydney Somers, she may have earned a new reader because the synopsis is very intriguing.

The guy on the cover of Larissa Ione’s ‘Snowbound’ – yum – totally hot. I would buy that book just for the cover. (Great read by the way). ;;)

Lastly I’ve always found the cover art on Bianc D’Arc’s books just beautiful. Especially ‘Jaci’s Experiment’ and ‘Davin’s Quest’, very well thought out and futuristic in appearance. :exactly:

Thank you for hosting this contest.
Have a great weekend.
Lea

Sela, I must admit I’m always surprised that more people don’t point out that Love & Lore cover, because I think it’s so lush and beautiful.

You guys have picked out some of my favorite covers–and have you all seen how gorgeous Steelflower is looking in print in the fantasy section of most booksters? Wowza!

20. Bev Stephans September 20, 2008 at 12:47 PM #

Jeez, talk about asking the hard questions!
So, fav’s….. um, you know I can’t really pick. There isn’t one I haven’t liked and all the latest ones just keep getting better. I like the black & white ones that use one splash of colour, Mari Carr’s covers come to mind there. I love all of Linda Winfree’s, Nicole Austin, NJ Walters, and the list goes on. Actually, it might be better to ask which ones I don’t like. None!

Hello all !
I am very influenced by book cover. I hate it when the hero/heroine on the book is blond and in the book he/she is a brunette (vice-versa).
My fav. covers are the Sophie Green series (Kate Johnson) because they start telling the storie of the books ! When I imagine what Sophie Green would look like, I just have to look at the covers of the book.
Thanks !

30. Jess Dee September 22, 2008 at 7:12 AM #

I’m biased. I adore my covers for Photo Op and Ask Adam. ( I adore Scott Carepenter too. Cover artist, extraordinaire.)The other cover I love is for KyAnn Waters ‘coming soon’: With or Without You.

I know this is over, but I only just read this post. I generally love most Samhain covers. However, my favourite is from Strawberries in Winter. I found it evocative and enticing.

Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press.
