THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.
This is it, the last day. Time has really flown by.
Every day from now to December 12th, I’ll be posting a new contest on my blog to win that day’s prize. Your entry is only good for that day. To win the prize for any other day, you’ll need to come back and enter again.
The grand prize at the end of the 12 days of Holiday Hell Contest is two Kindles, to be awarded to two lucky winners who have entered the Kindle drawings (which are seperate from the daily drawings. Entry into the daily drawings does not enter you into the Kindle drawings).
The fine print: You can win one of the daily Holiday Hell prizes and still be eligible to win the Kindle. You must complete the entry form for each daily contest entirely, double checking that your name and mailing address are correct because this is what I’ll use to mail your prize. If your prize comes back to me due to an incorrect mailing address, you forfeit your prize. Prize winners will be drawn before the end of each day following the contest (ie Day 1’s prize winner will be drawn before the end of Day 2) and will be announced on my blog. Kindle winners will be drawn and announced here on December 13th. All prizes will be mailed by December 20th.
Only one entry into each drawing per household/IP address. Duplicate entries will be deleted and entrants will be disqualified.
International entries are welcome and I will mail overseas, but will not guarantee receipt by Christmas as it will go by dolphin due to the obscene cost of shipping overseas.
I reserve the right to modify the rules at any time.
The Day 12 prize pack is:
Vera Bradley Libby purse in Mesa Red
Signed by Josh Lanyon Partners in Crime
Devil’s Kiss by Brenda Williamson
With Nine You Get Vanyr by JR Ward and Teri Smith
Signed Nightwalker by Jocelynn Drake
Pleasure for Pleasure by Eloisa James
Acheron buttons
I can’t stress enough how important it is to read the rules and give exactly the information I ask for, as I will disqualify your entry if it’s not correctly–and completely–filled out and I would guess maybe a fifth of them come in incomplete.
For Day 12, our final day, I’m going to be selfish
Tell me in the comments what you’ve liked about the last 12 days’ of contests!
Since we’re using the comments and not the form, don’t forget to come back and check if you’ve won so you can send me your address.
Good Luck!

I enjoyed the great prizes, intriguing questions and the opportunity to learn more about the people of Romanceland.
I hope this doesn’t sound horrible, but reading about your run cake fiasco made me laugh! I’ve been running around, overscheduling msyelf. Burnout is starting to kick in. I can totally relate and it felt good to laugh! So thanks!
I enjoyed the wonderful prizes and reading the comments and finding out what people like.
I enjoyed being surprised by what each new prize package would included and dreaming of winning it. I also enjoyed seeing some new authors and their books to add to my wish list.
I am gonna miss it. It was part of my regularly scheduled day. I enjoyed reading the comments posted by others. Got some great ideas for gifts, books, food. And was sorta tickled every time I looked at the upper left corner of the blog – Brianna’s Mommy/Evil Editor. Thank you for taking the time :0)
I liked reading everyone’s favorite songs. It reminded me of songs I haven’t listened to in forever.
Finding a new blog to read, visting all the author sites, and of course…the prizes.
I’ve had a blast with all the contests, checking out the author pages, and jotting new books to read. The blog posts were fun to read and gave me all kinds of ideas, especially the recipes. And giving away two kindles, that is totally awesome.
Besides the prizes I loved the post where you asked us to share a holiday recipe. I love trying new recipes and picked up some cool ones. Thanks for doing this. It was fun.
My gut reaction is to say my favorite thing about this contest is the wealth of prizes available to winners – but really, what made this so enjoyable is that we all had a chance to get to know strangers a little better by laughing, gasping, and even crying a bit at the best/worst gifts and the things we said/did to make others feel good for a day. I’m sure there’s no “right” answer per se, but I know there is a favorite answer for you: I loved that the contest assignments were worth doing, even if we didn’t win.
The Christmas sprit. The prizes. All the answers to the questions have been interesting. All the receipes that made me think of things I haven’t had in years. & The anticipation, makes me feel more in the Christmas mood
There are so many things about it that I loved…the prizes were great, the contests were fun, and I loved the scavenger hunt for the Kindles.
Thanks so much for offering such a fun and great contest!!
The prize packs are great and the chance of winning is a little exciting in my dull world of holidays. I really liked the scavenger hunt for the kindles, it gave me something to do during the day.
I really enjoyed doing the kindle scavenger hunt. I got to explore the websites of authors I never would have looked at otherwise.
Also the questions each day were fun to think about and even more fun to answer.
I have truly loved learning about authors that I had not heard of and finding out more about all the stories available on Kindle. The most fun part, and what I really liked, was reading all of the comments made by the other contestants!
I liked being exposed to a TON of new authors, which I will very much enjoy catching up on at my leisure. I also enjoyed discovering your blog, and look forward to having you in my googlereader for a long time to come.
I’ve enjoyed answering all the different questions. Some of them made me have to stop and think. ;-0
So this is old hat – but the prizes and comments. I actually separated it out – of course the books are wonderful, but I love the little knick knacks, and must admit – the mango, and was it… currant? licorice *really* caught my eye. I so hope the people who won them enjoy!
Thanks so much for holding the 12 days contests, Angie!
I have really enjoy reading the list of books and prizes you are giving away…I have found some new-to-me authors because I looked them up after seeing them on the lists.
I have also enjoyed reading some of the responses to your questions, such as the recipe day.
I enjoyed the last 12 days. It was exciting and hard trying to find the ornaments for the Holiday Hunt and the book covers for the Kindles. It took me many hours and days to find them all, but I did.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
This is actually my first day participating in the daily, but apart from the obvious, I’d say that for me it’s been great to add another blog to my bookmarked list of places to visit to hear snippets about publishing and biz-type stuff. I’ve certainly also become more aware of all kinds of new-to-me authors out there, writing all kinds of new-to-me genre/plot/character combos. So, yay!
I liked the Kindle contests because they linked me to a bunch of authors I had never heard of, but will now check out.
I loved reading about others recipes. They gave me some great ideas!
What I’ve liked about the last 12 days’ of contests is reading everyone’s comments. It was alot of fun and loved the prizes even though I was not one of the lucky winners. I like reading about what everyone did to make someone feel special it warmed my heart reading them. Happy Holidays everyone and thank-you for the contests.
The prizes in this contest have been wonderful (especially to those lucky enough to win them), but the thing I enjoyed most myself was the recipes. I copied each one onto a word document to save and organize later. With those recipes and all the wonderful responses to your posts everyone is able to walk away with a prize.
I liked reading everyones answers to the questions you asked… and those recipes…
im definately going to have to try some of them…
I ejoyed hearing about everone fav. Christmas songs.
I liked looking forward to what we had to do for the day. Also I liked the interaction, and the congrats that people would write to the winners its says a lot about the kind of people we are associating with. That even though they didn’t win the are happy for the person that did. I hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday.
I’ve enjoyed everything about the 12 days of the contest. It was fun poking around the Samhain website looking at great cover art and the differen books over there. It was also a lot of fun reading everyone’s comments when you used the comments instead of the form to enter. I’ve looked forward to each day’s contest and what I’d be looking for or what question I’d be answering.
I liked answering all the questions. The prizes have been great too..well worth the daily visits
Like everyone else, it was waking up to see who won and the next question you asked us. I loved all the prizes , the scavenger hunt for the book titles(though it drove me crazy with about three of them)it was an interesting and very fun contest, but you stated everything so clearly Angie and ran a great contest ,putting everyone in great spirit mode.
Thanks for just the opportunity Angie.

Besides the prizes. It’s fun when a lot of people participate.
It was fun reading everyone’s comments…can you tell I liked the comment section one’s best…because, believe it or not, I read all of them for each of quizzes that were answered in the comments. Overall, the contests were fun, the prizes great, and it’s the season for fun, right? And hey…it’s even more fun if you win, right, who doesn’t like free stuff? So fingers, toe’s and eye’s crossed I’m getting a Kindle for Christmas!!!
I had a blast doing the contest posts. The prizes are awesome! It was fun doing the hunts for the kindles and looking at all the books and excerpts on the author’s sites. I added a lot of books to my wishlist! Thanks for the chance to win!
Of course hoping to win a gift pack. The recipes were my favorite I love trying new things even though I didn’t get to submit one myself.
I’ve enjoyed reading the hugely varied answers to the questions. I’ve learned all sorts of new things.
I have enjoyed reviewing your reaction to the comments! And reviewing comments themselves. THANKS for the fun and chance to win great PRIZES. I just wish I’d found this on day one and had more time for the Kindle Contests!
The prizes were great. The scavenger hunts were fun even when I was cussing a couple of the websites when I had trouble finding the book lol. And it was fun trying to guess what you were going to do next.
It was fun and easy! Those are the best kind of contest. I loved your interactive questions. Very cool!
I’ve enjoyed all the book giveaways and the tasks required to be entered into them. As an avid reader I depend on giveaways to discover new authors.
The fantastic subjects! Thank you so much I have had a blast. Merry Christmas.
Reading the variety of answers is what I’ve liked most about the contests. Our different ideas of what constitutes a great book or even a favorite holiday recipes really shows how diverse the Romance community is. And that’s truly an amazing thing.
Thank you for hosting these awesome contests, Angie.
Exposing me to different writers’ works.
Being introduced to a lot of authors that are new to me has been great! Thank you!
I’ve really liked reading all the comments! You know…they’re like car accidents..you’re just going to glance and then you’ve slowed down and are spending A LOT of time looking!! LOL
And the new to me authors!! Lot’s more on my TBB list!
I can’t believe its over! One thing I enjoyed is looking forward to visiting here! I did like the questions because it always had me think even further about things! Too the couple of times we had to go hunting, I got to find more that I missed, like a couple of releases on Samhain! I’m looking forward to next year!

yay, just made it in under the midnight hour…power went out 7 times today!
i have so enjoyed finding all these new authors that write stories that wrap through and around daily things that interest me! So i can really enjoy and “get into” the story, thanks so much for having it!
I loved the wealth of knowledge and memories that was shared between everyone in this contest. How the daily question made You think or remember something special. The wonderful recipes were an extra bonus as well. The excellent giving spirit of the prize donors reflecting the spirit of Christmas. And the chance to win a Kindle (which is way out of my price range)is fantastic!
I have loved this, finding so many new authors and books. I actually enjoyed reading all the exerpts to books trying to find all the Kindles. Have a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
