Josh – definitely get her the Kitchen-Aid mixer. I have one and it makes baking SO much easier, so Angie’ll bake even more. That way you’ll be giving yourself a gift of home made goodies.

Maybe he could get the guys at work to chip in. They’re the ones that benefit from the baking! I like to bake but rarely eat more than a sample or two of what I make. I just like the process of it, and the final product when it’s just done.

    Dear Santa Josh,

Before you go shopping, and certainly before you decide to go off-list and surprise Mrs. Santa, take a few minutes and watch this video. It may mean the difference between hot cocoa in front of the fireplace and sharing the stables with the reindeer.

No need to thank me. 😉

    OMG! That skull clutch! Pant.

I’d go for the mixer as well, if I had my own kitchen to worry about.

:presents: If you do get the mixer, test it right away to check that it works properly. Mine doesn’t mix close enough to the bowl so when I’m done using it I always have a layer of ‘crud’ on the bowl that has not mixed into ‘batter’. 😕 (Couldn’t return mine since I got it used & cheap when an acquaintance divorced & unloaded extra stuff.)

I’ll de-lurk to say this — the mixer, definitely the mixer. I’d name my firstborn after Kitchen Aide if I were ever going to have children, that’s how much I love mine. Ok ok, maybe that’s a bit much — I’d at least name her Aida or him Aiden. Hehe.

    Get the mixer, Josh.

I kinda bought myself one the day after Christmas. In red. I mean really, how could a sane woman resist when it was on sale! :xmas:

LOL! As I was opening up some of the links (like the purses) I glanced through them and thought, she’ll like the skull one with the pink on it and bingo, I was right. You like dragons too? I love them. The scarf and shirt is gorgeous and with the shoes, wow, it’d be great! Hope you get most of what you want!

I just happened to notice today that Sam’s Club has a Kitchen Aid mixer for $250. They even have it in red!

Boots? You just bought a brand new pair of RED boots this summer while traveling. :glee:

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).
