I can’t remember how I discovered your blog, maybe being a Samhain fan got me curious. Anyway, I’ve been reading your blog for about a year now.

    Happy Blog Birthday!

It can’t be four years already! But then I remember chatting on Jaci’s yahoo group and impatiently waiting for .5’s arrival! I’m sure I saw the addy for your blog there or another group. Congrats on all the joys and success since those days.

Honestly, I can’t remember how or when I found your blog. But I visit it every day, at least once. I keep reading because it’s interestig.

Hmm… it’s been probably more than a year that I came across your blog, but a little less than a year that I’ve actually been visiting somewhat regularly ๐Ÿ™‚ Happy Blog Birthday! Time sure does fly!

I came here because I heard about the contest on Keishon’s site, AvidBookReader. Happy Blog Birthday!

    Happy Blog Birthday.

I found you just last month when Paperback Writer publicised the Kindle contest and the 12 days of Christmas.

That got me into the habit of visiting daily and i still drop in regularly due to the varriety of topics covered.

I found you sometime in September, truthfully I can’t remember how, most likely you were referenced on one of my other blogs. I stayed because, well just because. There is also the wonderful new authors you mention that I probably wouldn’t know about.

Happy (slightly belated) Blogiversary! WOW, four years ago I didn’t know blogs existed and had discovered only a few slightly unpolished message boards.

I’m pretty sure I found you through Jaci Burton’s blog about 2 or so years ago. Who can resist the lure of “Angie is an evil genius”? And to top it all off, you turned out to be an EDITOR, one of the most mysterious and elusive creatures in the publishing chain… at least to this Reader.

Let’s see. I haven’t been reading your blog for long, maybe like 3 – 4 months. I found it during the holiday season. All those contests that started up and I’m sure one of them pointed me this way. I keep coming back because I like it. I like the stuff you talk about even if it is just everyday things.

    Happy Blog Birthday!

I’m trying to remember how I found your blog…I *think* it was via the sidebar at Miss Snark, but that could be a mistake. Okay, I know it was a sidebar and it was the intriguing title (Nice Mommy–Evil Editor) that caught my attention. Once I got here (sometime in early to mid 2007), it was the hilarious content and warm, friendly voice that kept me coming back for more.

    Happy Anniversary Angela!

I’m not sure how I found you – I think I found you, DA, and SBTB all at the same time a few years ago. I stayed because you are funny/interesting.

Wow, happy 4th Blog Birthday Angie. I think I have been reading your blog since its inception. I remember you from one of the yahoo groups I was on when you were pregnant with Brianna. Once you started your blog, I put it in my bookmarks for easy access. I love all the “Brianna stories” especially since I have a grand-daughter a year younger than she is. Your blog gives me great insight as to what to expect for our next year – LOL. I appreciate how much you share with the blogging community and am thankful for the honour of getting to read your posts. Also the recipes and sewing that you share are delightful. I hope you have many more “Happy Blog Birthdays” to come.

Been reading your blog for a few months. I think I found it on Romance Divas, I don’t remember exactly…I discovered it just prior to all the December contest madness going on, so it was a lot of fun! I actually did learn about a lot of new (to me) authors from the Kindle contest, as I (grimly at times) hunted through ***pages*** of their websites. ๐Ÿ™‚ But that ended up, of course, leading me to new reads. I check back periodically for contests, general info, just curious. And it’s such a great blog name too!

    Happy Birthday!!

I think I found you through one of the writeminded authors. When I was building a blog list of my own to follow, I would check out the ones they followed. I stayed because it was fun. Today is the 21st and due to a new job (with no internet access) I’m seriously behind in my blog hopping.

Happy Birthday! I found your blog from the Samhain site.

I actually found your blog when you were giving away the two Kindles over Christmas. I’m not sure which blog directed me towards you, but I’m glad that I did. As a mother to a two-year old boy who dreams of being a published author, pretty much everything you post has some meaning to me.

    Thanks and Happy Birthday Blog!

I found you via the Kindle contest and have been reading ever since! Happy Blog birthday!

  20. Dena January 22, 2009 at 6:08 AM #

Hi Angie, I found you by reading about the huge Kindle contest. I didn’t win, boohoo but I am glad that I discovered your blog. It’s fun and entertaining, along with some interesting things about you and book stuff. I loved the little interview you had me cracking up on question 3. I visit your blog a couple times a week. I wish that I had more time to check in more often.

  21. Deidre January 22, 2009 at 10:16 AM #

Hi Angie! I followed a link from one of the Samhain authors, though I can’t remember which one at the moment. I’ve only been reading your blog for a couple of months, but it’s been interesting.
    Happy Blog Birthday!

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).
