It was fun to read how long many of you had been reading, and why you come back. Thanks for all the kind things you said, it made me smile. Random.org picked comment #57 as the winner: MarnieColette Says: January 20th, 2009 at 12:56 pm e I found you sometime in September, truthfully I can’t [...]

The Kindle…for Penthouse readers who come for more than the pictures. As further proof that some people read the articles in these magazines and don’t just look at the pictures, I was tipped to this by you know who. In the Tech section of the February 2008 issue of Penthouse is an article on “ridiculously [...]

The first TBR challenge of 2009! This year Keishon is doing monthly categories for the challenges, but I chose to do an open format because it’s so hard for me to read for pleasure sometimes, I don’t feel I can also force myself to be in the mood. Which is a shame since this month [...]

Glued to the TV watching the inauguration. Just watching the excitement on TV is amazing. You can feel how the atmosphere is electric. If you’re not near a TV, this article lists 8 online sites streaming live coverage. Also, I’m amazed. They’re reporting that something like 20 Obama staffers are ready to head right to [...]

Yesterday my friend Marly posted an interview opportunity so I decided to take it. Hey, blog content is good! Here are the questions Marly asked me and my answers. 1. If you had to paint your house all one color, inside and out, what color would you choose? Funny, but most of the inside of [...]

It’s my blog birthday today! I realized last week, when I was doing some cleanup, that my blog is three four years old. I didn’t know a lot of people who had blogs when I started, though a lot of them popped up right around the same time as mine. I also didn’t know why [...]

I’m having some hosting issues. Basically, my SQL database has a limit of 100mb and I’ve almost reached that. I’ll tell you my whole sorry tale after I get my blog transferred to a new host. In the meantime, if the blog disappears or goes down for a short time, it’s because I’ve hit my [...]

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).

  • And will someone who watches American Chopper pls tell me why Junior's wife has to be on stage when they reveal bikes? That's weird. ~ 1 hour ago
  • Of course, we're also watching American Ninja. And basketball. The curse of letting a man have the remote. ~ 1 hour ago
