    You are not alone in wondering about those meetings. Many folks say they can only get their reading and editing done at home.

    And this is one of the many reasons I don’t miss office work. Mind, working for a food service chain is physically exhausting and the pay is risible, but hey, no meetings for me! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Between meetings, phonecalls, voicemail and emails it’s a wonder I get any work done. Which might explain my 12-13hr days at the office. ๐Ÿ™

    Long version: schools are very meeting-heavy, too. We have mandated department meetings every two weeks. When I was department chair, I also got to attend the pre-meeting (to plan the meeting) and then the post-meeting (to reflect on the meeting). This doesn’t even count the added all-staff meetings or sub-committee meetings.

    Short version: I feel your pain.

    You are so lucky you get to work from home. I wish I had a job where I could stay in my PJ all day if I wanted to. Instead I work in the vary demanding food industry (HATE IT). Youโ€™re a lucky lady. ๐Ÿ™‚
