More Articles from Archive ~ Disney

In my continued mission to give Annmarie what she asked for (more pictures of Brianna), I bring you day 2 of our Disney vacation. Don’t worry, I’m only sharing 4 days (the 4 parks) and I’m keeping it down to one a week. But Magic Kingdom is the day that has my very favorite pictures [...]

Not-Wordless Wednesday: Animal Kingdom

Not wordless because how can I be expected to just post a picture with no words? Words are my life! We had dinner at Animal Kingdom in one of the outdoor pavilions and there were birds everywhere. I even had a duck sit down right NEXT to my chair. He couldn’t have got any closer [...]

The lovely Annmarie mentioned that my blog is much neglected (we all knew this) and that it had been far too long since I’d posted pictures of Brianna. At the end of July, we took a family vacation to DisneyWorld that coincided with a work conference for me. Of course, I took a hot ton [...]

I’ve let my blog go neglected for so long, that every time I think about blogging, I then think…but it’s been so long since I’ve posted, I don’t really want to post THAT. But I come to the realization that if I don’t just go ahead and post something, I may never post again, because [...]

(That would be yesterday) I went to Epcot and had a great time. It’s interesting to do things on your own, because you have time to notice different things, things you wouldn’t otherwise notice because you’re too wrapped up in your companions or your schedules. But because I was flying solo, I was much more [...]

Freakin’ Disney. I bought Brianna this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cd at Amazon (actually I bought the MP3 version for instant gratification) and one of the songs on that cd is now permanently embedded in my brain. “Your Library” by Ludwig Von Drake. Click on the song title to hear a sample (it’s really a catchy [...]

And thank God for it. Though I’m slightly scared of my email. And next time I go on vacation, I’m not going to bother to tell anyone because, from the number of *urgent* emails I got that needed prompt help, I’m not sure anyone pays attention when I send out an email with the subject [...]

Souvenir of the Day: wedding mementos (small bottles of wine, a corkscrew and a very pretty fake flower boutonniere). Oh, and one vomit-covered dress. Yes, my daughter did throw up (again) and this time at a wedding. I’m so proud but you know, it’s not really a wedding until someone throws up. Even if it [...]

Souvenir of the Day: 1 fan spray bottle. 1 Mickey t-shirt. 1 Mickey balloon ball. 1 Mickey keychain. 1 Cheshire cat coin purse that had a broken clasp five minutes after we bought it. Today, we bought some REAL souvenirs. Today was Magic Kingdom and we had a truly stellar day. No do-overs needed. We [...]

About Me

Angela James

There is nothing worse than writing a bio. And writing one for your blog sidebar? Blech. Maybe you landed here via Google, followed me from Twitter (does that make you a stalker?) or maybe we met at a conference or you clicked a link from a comment I made at a blog you visited. Hopefully whatever I said didn't make you so mad you came looking for a picture to throw darts at (yep, that's me up above, in my favorite cowboy hat) but instead drove you to find out more about the amazingly witty and intelligent person behind the amazingly witty and intelligent comment.

However you found me, who you found is Angela James, executive editor of Carina Press, Harlequin's new digital-first press. I'm passionate about digital publishing, my mission is to drag people to the digital dark side, one reader (and author) at a time. I'm also Brianna's mommy. At my blog you'll get an odd mix of personal and professional posts about parenting, publishing, books, cooking, sewing and life in general. Come back often, comment frequently and go green—buy ebooks!

Please note that this is my personal blog and my opinions are neither that of Harlequin, nor representative of their opinions.

Find Me Here

First, I blog once or twice a week at theCarina Press blog, talking about the job, the authors, the books and other things Carina Press. And, of course, you can always find me on Twitter. Or Facebook, if you prefer (mostly the same content, one feeds the other). I also run the Carina Press Twitter and Facebook accounts. Social media, it's where it's at (well, it's where I'm at, anyway).
