Well, as you can see, I successfully installed WordPress, got my Blogger posts and the Blogger comments imported over. The only sticking point seems to be the Haloscan comments. I’m still working on those, but I might have to concede all 556 of them lost πŸ™ That would suck, but at least I got the posts and the Blogger comments!

Also, as you can see, I’m working with a temporary template. I’m going to try to fiddle a template that will allow me to use my old header. Mandy said she’d make me a new one, to fit. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do that, or if I’ll end up throwing my hands in the air and hiring someone to do it for me.

There are a lot of things to like about WordPress. It’s very easy to switch themes, I’m going to be able to create my own pages, for information, so I don’t have to have long sidebars, there’s no republishing and there are plug-ins for customizing.

As you can see by the sidebar, my plan is to put the TBR Challenge on its own, permanent page. Another page will be dedicated to listing my 2006 Books Read and a third page to a photo-gallery of Brianna. This is assuming, of course, that I can figure out how to do all of these things.

But I’m here, and I’m staying for now!
