This week’s question was inspired by a conversation I had with a friend last week. Do quotes on the cover compel you to buy a book or make you look twice? Or is a catchy tagline more likely to gain your interest?
And once you’ve picked the book up, do you read the quotes that are often placed on the first few pages of the book? And if so, do they sway you towards buying a book? For instance, Forbidden Magic by Cheyenne McCray has several pages of quotes from various authors. If you read/own/bought the book, did you read these and did it affect your decision to buy the book?
Are there any authors who, if they’ve given a quote, you will buy the book based on that?
