But now I have this vague sense of guilt. Why? Well, I wasn’t as well-versed on election issues this year as I have been in previous years. I’ve been watching almost no tv, so I don’t see the news (or those fun political ads) and I haven’t been reading the paper. So though I feel it’s important to vote, I wasn’t feeling knowledgeable on the issues. So I voted party lines. I rarely do that, though I’m registered as a Democrat, I’m just as likely to vote Republican if I like the candidate. But since I went in mostly ignorant, I voted Democratic. Now I’m wondering if I should have just not voted. Is an ignorant vote cast on party lines better than no vote at all?
At least I get to wear the pretty sticker for the rest of the day 😉
