We’re here and today I’m operating on a little less sleep than I normally like. We hung out in the bar across the street (like a pub) with some of the attendees we were meeting. Most recognizable to those who read my blog are probably Stefani Kelsey, owner/operator of Mojocastle Press, Emily Veinglory (Samhain author), and Carys Weldon. It’s always fun to meet new people that you recognize from “online” and talk publishing, books and other subjects.

Lunch was yummy-clam chowder and crabcake. Mmmmm. Crissy and I are going to search out a…err…women’s boutique we were told about. The Pink Banana πŸ™‚ And then maybe dinner at PF Changs. Dinner is included in the conference but as soon as someone told us there was a PF Changs here, we looked at each other and lit up. There’s not one around either of us so…good opportunity. We already hit Borders this morning–neither of us gets to shop at one of those usually either, so that was fun. There was a shelf and a half of Samhain books there and the lady at the cash register said she’d just been on our website last night looking. We’re famous!! She was excited to meet us

Today a reader of this blog came and introduced herself to me (Hi Mechele!). See, someone DOES read my blog πŸ˜‰

Here’s the picture from our hotel room balcony. Lovely view, though the hotel is a bit chilly (okay, really chilly).

Hope everyone is having a lovely Friday! I’ll try to post more tomorrow.

And here’s a picture of the little munchkin I miss. Isn’t she cute?

Taken on Monday. See how stylish she is? That stocking cap is an Oklahoma cap she got for Christmas from Charlie and Jaci. She likes it πŸ™‚ Here’s the whole ensemble, cap, gloves and backpack:
